Membership Account Executive

Join the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce team.  The Chamber is the oldest, largest and most dynamic business organization in the city, serving some 2,000 Bay Area businesses.  As an Account Executive, you will sell and renew Chamber memberships among small and large businesses across a variety of industries.  The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Three to five years direct sales experience
• Demonstrated ability to sell against quota
• A strong interest in San Francisco and helping businesses thrive in the city
• Exude professionalism and demonstrate ability to strategically develop prospects, cold call business and close sales against a quota
• Highly organized, articulate and results-driven
• Ability to source new accounts and manage existing account relationships
• BA/BS preferred

This position requires networking at Chamber programs and events before and after business hours.  The position reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer.

Compensation: Base salary is 28K. Commission is 1-4x salary.

Marketing & Membership Intern

The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce is the oldest, largest and most dynamic business organization in the city, representing the interests of 32,000 businesses in San Francisco. Recognized as the pre-eminent business organization for advocacy, networking and economic growth, the Chamber's mission is to attract, develop and retain business in San Francisco. The Chamber is seeking candidates for a 3-to 6-month unpaid internship. This is a part-time position (approximately 16-24 hours per week).Intern will gain valuable experience working with the San Francisco business community.
The Marketing & Membership Intern reports to the Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Director

Position Responsibilities

The Marketing & Membership Intern is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing in the implementation of Chamber programs including:

• Membership events
• Research
• Member outreach
• Marketing projects

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft software: Outlook, Word, Excel
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects; flexible
• Proven record of delivering work on or before deadlines
• Strong organization skills; resourceful and proactive; energetic and a self-starter
