The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce is pleased to bring together for the second year leaders in the effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, preserve precious resources and learn to “live, work and build green.”

Since last year’s conference, companies have made significant strides in leading the innovation that has the potential to meet the challenges presented by the very real dangers of climate change. We will feature some of those efforts in this year’s summit as examples of best practices others can emulate.

As model businesses in a model city in a model state, we can have an enormous impact – and we invite you to join the Chamber, PG&E and Bank of America in leading the way.

“ San Francisco holds itself accountable for its contributions to global warming and is committed to dramatically reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions to 20 percent below 1990 levels by 2012…The good news is that we can reduce the pollution that causes global warming by using currently available technologies that can also enhance economic development.”

— Mayor Gavin Newsom
