Special Hearing on Healthy San Francisco Legislation – The Board of Supervisors Government Audit and Oversight Committee will host a special hearing on Fri., Sept 30 at City Hall (Room 263) to address Chamber-opposed legislation from Supervisor David Campos that will change the way employers administer Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) to comply with the city’s health care mandate. By prohibiting employers from accessing unused funds at the end of the year, the legislation will add an additional $50 million hit to local businesses already struggling with the city’s high costs of doing business. “This legislation needlessly ties up millions of dollars that could otherwise be used for job creation,” said Chamber President & CEO Steve Falk. Learn more about the pending legislation on a Q&A Conference Call Fri. Sept. 30 at 10 am. Read why the San Francisco Chronicle opposes the Campos amendment. The Chamber will host a Business Engagement Forum Thurs. Oct. 13 for members to learn more about how to market your business to the Event Authority and its America’s Cup affiliates.
