The Ebbies Gala is attended by 900 of San Francisco's top-level business leaders from large, mid-size and small businesses and community organizations. The Ebbies were created in 1991 by the Chamber to honor San Francisco businesses for their innovation, to celebrate their vision and publicly appreciate their contributions to the quality of life in the community and for their employees.

The 2012 Excellence in Business Awards offers an unparalleled opportunity to position your company before a stellar galaxy of business and civic leaders.

United Airlines Excellence in Business Award
Awarded to a San Francisco-based company, or company with a major presence in the city, that has shown remarkable profitability and stability, and which exemplifies excellent corporate citizenship in giving back to the communities in which it operates and in a corporate culture that enhances the lives of its employees.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. Small Business Award
Awarded to a small, San Francisco business that exemplifies the diversity of products and services that give San Francisco's neighborhoods their special flair and/or is an example of the entrepreneurial spirit, and that demonstrates an investment in the city's future.

Kaiser Permanente Economic Development Award
Awarded to a company or organization that is substantially contributing, or will greatly contribute, to the economic vitality of San Francisco through creating new jobs and opportunities, advancing a new industry or revitalizing a sector or neighborhood of the city.

Hathaway Dinwiddie Building San Francisco Award
Awarded to a bricks-and-mortar project developed in San Francisco that will enhance or is compatible with the Chamber's interest in economic development, housing, transportation and quality of life.

Comcast Innovation through Technology Award
Awarded to a business that is technology-led and/or that looks to IT to solve problems and increase efficiency. Criteria include the industry the business operates in, what new technology has been implemented and the issue or goal it has addressed and the impact that the technology has had on all aspects of the business and the communities the business serves

San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Community Champion Award
Awarded to a San Francisco-based company with a major presence in the city that has a demonstrated track record of consistently buying from or advocating for local San Francisco small businesses. Former winners (Bi-Rite Market, Recology and Webcor Builders)
