Carmel Mission

San Carlos Borromeo is believed by many to be the most beautiful of all California missions. It is here that Fr. Serra made his headquarters for his California missionary work, and where he was buried upon his death in 1784. A year after its founding, the mission was moved from Monterey to a beautiful site in Carmel Valley.

Beach Trail Rides

Explore the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula with the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center. Experienced guides take riders to some of the most breathtaking spots on earth. See the rugged Pacific Coastline and unparalleled views of world-famous fairways of Cypress Point Golf Club and Spyglass Hill Golf Course. Climb natural dunes and encounter deer, see whales, sea lions and sea otters down by the beach along famous 17 Mile Drive. This is a great ride for everyone over the age of twelve.

10 AM, 12 NOON, 2 PM and 3:30 PM, by reservation
Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes

Family Forest Rides

Ride through the Del Monte forest and up sand dunes overlooking the Cypress Point golf Club and the Pacific Ocean. This wonderful trail will show you a special dune environment where you and your children will see a variety of wildflowers, hidden fox dens, soaring red tail hawks and deer among the shadows in the trees. Rides times vary due to schedule. Please call for reservations. Suitable for everyone over the age of seven.

Duration: Approximately 50 minutes
Indian Village Picnic Ride. Both of these rides are great for groups and corporate activities! Times are flexible; please call for special arrangements and reservations.

Bernardus Winery

Bernardus' goal is to create seriously delicious wines that flatter the palate. The textural element-the mouthfeel- is the most important expression of wine at Bernardus. Their Vineyard is located in the Carmel Valley appellation, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Sauvignon Blanc.

Chateau Julien Wine Estate

Chateau Julien Wine Estate is located on 16 acres in the majestic Carmel Valley, a short 5-minute drive from Carmel. Guests are welcome daily for wine tasting and tours of the Chateau. Chateau Julien Wine Estate vineyards are located in the Monterey Appellation planted with Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese, Pinot Grigio, Zinfandel and Syrah.

Point Lobos State Park

Deriving its name from the offshore rocks at Punta de los Lobos Marinos, Point of the Sea Wolves, where the sound of the sea lions carries inland, the reserve has often been called "the crown jewel of the State Park System." Point Lobos has offered many things to millions of people who have visited it over the years. Point Lobos State Reserve has outstanding passive recreation values, such as sightseeing, photography, painting, nature study, picnicking, SCUBA diving, and jogging. In addition to the spectacular beauty, nearly every aspect of its resources is of scientific interest. There are rare plant communities, endangered archeological sites, unique geological formations, and incredibly rich flora an fauna of both land and sea.

Golf

Some of the most spectacular and challenging golf courses in the world are located on the Monterey Peninsula. You can play alongside the spectacular Pacific coast and watch the waves break against the rocks, among wooded forests while the deer stroll across the fairway, or among beautiful oak studded hills with views stretching to the Pacific Ocean.
