"San Francisco voters rank jobs and the economy as their top priority," said San Francisco Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Steve Falk. "This new scorecard will help voters easily assess how well their Supervisor is helping to address their concerns and create jobs for the more than 46,000 San Francisco residents currently out of a job." The Chamber's annual CityBeat poll, released in March, ranks jobs and the economy as the top issue facing San Francisco. According to the poll, 29 percent of voters ranked jobs and the economy as their top concern, outpacing homelessness and panhandling, education, crime, the cost of owning a home and other issues. The city budget also ranked among the top three issues, with 26 percent of voters ranking it their primary concern. The first scorecard is based on the Supervisor's votes on ten key issues impacting job creation and government efficiency in 2009. Click here to see the 2009 Paychecks & Pink Slips scorecard.
