Targeted at San Francisco voters, the campaign seeks to arouse the curiosity of voters and inspire them to learn more about the issues and how their elected district Supervisor is managing them. The campaign includes three ads, each posing a different question. One ad asks: "Is your city supervisor for paychecks or pink slips?" Another poses the question: "Is your city supervisor for buses or benefits." Another asks: "Is your city supervisor for parks or pensions?" Each ad directs audiences to visit a new website - www.sfbiztakesaction.com - to learn more about how the Board of Supervisors voted on these and other issues. "The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce thinks it's important for voters to know how the Board of Supervisors is voting when it comes to the key issues impacting our economy and the future of our city," said Chamber President & CEO Steve Falk. "The goal of this campaign is to get San Francisco voters thinking - and talking - about these issues well in advance of the November General Election." The integrated campaign debuts today in outdoor media across the city, in print in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner and San Francisco Business Times, and on-air on KOIT-FM, KBWF-FM and KDFC-FM. The three-week campaign was created by Gumas Advertising, a leading San Francisco-based marketing agency specializing in integrated branding, advertising and interactive campaigns. The new advertising campaign is one of many programs of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce aimed at educating voters about city issues. Earlier this year, the Chamber released its 13th annual CityBeat poll spotlighting voters priorities including jobs, the economy and they city budget. In April, the Chamber debuted its Paychecks & Pink Slips Scorecard tracking lawmaker votes related to job creation and government efficiency. In addition, the Chamber hosts numerous programs and events each year spotlighting key issues and elected officials including its Public Policy Forums, Supes for Lunch program and the upcoming CitySummit focusing on economic resurgence on August 31.
