The power of belief is focused around first having a vision, having a
goal in mind and putting into place the steps to reach it. Stevens will
share with you the invaluable lessons that helped her reach her professional
goals and become successful:
- First
focus on building on successes
- Understand
what worked, how it worked and why
- Recognize
the challenges faced and how to work through them
Stevens
believes these are the lessons that will allow you to truly reach your
goals. And believing in your abilities to put these learnings into practice
is her power of belief.
Stevens is recognized as one of the "Most Influential Women in Business"
by the San Francisco Business Times and was presented the "2005 Women
Making History" award by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and
the Commission on the Status of Women. A California native and a 16-year
veteran of the company, Lisa began her career with Wells Fargo in 1989
as a banking service representative and now serves as Wells Fargo's San

But Lisa's energies don't stop there. In addition to her responsibilities
at Wells Fargo, Lisa is also a mother of three children including a newborn.
Lisa's passion is her family. She believes that even busy parents with
careers and responsibilities in their own communities can find time for
family. "You can have it all" is Lisa's motto. "And believing
that you can is the first step. A strong belief system is the foundation
for striving to reach any goal you set your mind to."

It’s Not What Happens - It’s How You Bounce!
Sally Crawford, CEO, Crawford &
Associates International
During
our lifetime - or any given day - we face problems that seem insurmountable.
These difficulties can be the result of our own miscalculations or circumstances
beyond our control. While bad things do happen to good people, it’s
not so much what happens - it’s how we "bounce" in the
face of adversity that is important. Bounce is the resolve and imagination
to get back on course instead of being the victim of what happens to us.
Crawford’s presentation is based upon the challenges and triumphs
achieved during her 22-year career as a CEO. She will provide pragmatic
tips for turning uncertainty, indecision, and paralysis into positive
actions. Learn how small steps in the right direction and "resetting
the bar" of your own expectations contribute to your bouncability
- and ultimately your success.
Cost
to attend is $30 for Chamber members; $40 for prospective members if paid
by July 15. $5 additional after July 15 and at the door.

Networking for Business
Find
it difficult to connect with the right people at networking events?
Not meeting as many people as you could because you are caught in one
long converation? Hesitant to walk up and start a conversation with someone
new?
- Join
us for a new program focused on making connections.
- Engage
in facilitated meetings with at least 20 businesswomen.
- Make
a business connection in four minutes or less.
- Expand
your network in minutes instead of months.
- Learn
to become a connector and introduce your contacts.
Here’s
how it works:
Each
pair will have four minutes (two minutes each) to introduce themselves
and their company. You will explain what you are looking for or the value
of your products/services, and then switch. After meeting with everyone
on the opposite side of the room, we will break for informal networking
over complimentary wine and light hors d’oeuvres.
- Cost
is $30 for Chamber members.
- Must
be a Chamber member to participate.
- Space
is limited to 40 participants.
Our
group facilitator is Debra Mugnani Monroe, President
of Monroe Personnel Service, LLC and Temptime.
Debra
has always loved connecting people. Since 1982, Debra has assisted hundreds
of Bay Area businesses in meeting their staffing needs. A native San
Franciscan, Debra received a Juris Doctorate from the University of
California at Davis and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and French
from the University of California at Berkeley. She founded Monroe Personnel
Service in 1987. Monroe was ranked in the San Francisco Business Times'
Bay Area's Top 150 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies list for
2000 and 2001.
